Hello Earl!
As a former student ('81, '82), I was thrilled to finally find your site. I've searched you in years past, but with less success. The 'ol internet has come a long way, thankfully.

Seeing your work after so long inspires me all over again. I was not your best student, but few appreciate more how you translate your love for nature and electrify the canvas. Wow - what memories! How you combined such mastery and such whimsy. Striding into class in the morning with a mug of coffee, giggling, with stories of the hunt - or of a sunrise - that transposed through media an even more brilliant tale. Colorful, dynamic, serene, bold, subtle, literal, detailed, or simply an impression; a story that holds you, and encourages pleasant lingering. Remember "The Bugs Are Out Tonight?" - if that was the real title. I watched you paint "Dr. Martin Luther King" and have seen it again and again in my mind ever since.

So happy to see you're still at it. Best wishes and I hope to continue checking out your latest.

Warm regards - Terry Leahy
